''En journalist fra Holbæk Amts Venstreblad bragte i avisen følgende historie da han traf ham i skoven, sammen med nogle skovarbejdere, og han gav beredvilligt en prøve på sine færdigheder:''<br />

Han entrede med lethed op i et af træerne - op i toppen. Denne præstation er i sig selv bemærkelsesværdig, men værre - eller om man vil bedre - bliver det, da han begynder at svinge frem og tilbage i toppen, for endelig at give slip og ende i en anden trætop. Herfra går turen videre i disse høje luftlag.<br />

Han siger det er en stor fordel når man hvert år i november, og første halvdel af december, skal skære pyntegrønt. Mens andre må kravle ned fra hvert træ og op i det næste, eller benytte sig af langarmede sakse, kan han blive oppe i toppene.<br />

De andre fortæller, at skovløber Larsen i klippesæsonen om morgenen kravler op i et træ. Ved frokosttid kommer han atter ned på jorden for at få en bud brød, stiger op igen, og kommer så først ned igen til fyraften.<br />

På spørgsmålet om han nogensinde er faldet ned, svarer han: Aldrig!<br />
